Thousands rally at Queen’s Park over healthcare privatization fears

VIDEO: Fears over the privatization of Ontario’s healthcare had ramped up again Thursday. Thousands from across the province travelled to Queen’s Park and rallied over the Ford government’s healthcare strategy which includes nearly $300 million dollars for dozens of new private, surgical and diagnostic clinics. Premier Doug Ford and his cabinet continue to argue that public access is still available, while continuing to navigate a slew of other controversies. According to one political expert, Premier Doug Ford’s polling in Ontario remains unchanged despite the numerous scandals. Meanwhile, opposition members of provincial parliament joined in on the rallying efforts Thursday trying to convince Ontarians that progress continues to stall.
