VIDEO: Europe is sweltering under a dangerous and record-breaking heat wave, that’s stretching from Spain to Germany and beyond. Temperatures are soaring above 40 degrees Celsius in some areas, major tourist attractions are closing and deaths connected to the weather continue to rise. The blistering heat is disrupting daily life across much of Europe with authorities urging people to stay indoors, limit outdoor activities, and check on vulnerable neighbours. In addition to heatstroke deaths that have happened in France and Spain, at least 40 people have drowned trying to get relief from the heat.
