A staunch environmentalist within the Carney government confirms he is out of the Liberal Party of Canada. Former Liberal cabinet minister Steven Guilbeault announced his resignation from his parliamentary seat following Prime Minister Mark Carney‘s recent pipeline agreement with Alberta. Carney expressed no regrets over the energy pact with Alberta Premier Danielle Smith, who continues to campaign on the deal while navigating criticism over a vote to explore separation.
