VIDEO: It only took a year before Honda Canada’s electric vehicle expansion went from major delay to a full stoppage. Thursday, the Japanese automaker says it has indefinitely suspended it’s plans for a $15-billion dollar EV complex in Alliston, Ontario, placing Canada’s EV ambitions in doubt. Honda says it made the decision in response to evolving business conditions and shifting demand, as Canada and the U.S. remain at a stalemate when it comes to trade talks and tariffs. The recent development in Alliston, Ontario did draw disappointment from Canadians officials but the automaker says current operations and jobs won’t be affected.
