China hosts Donald Trump for key trade and tech discussions

China rolled out the red carpet for US President Donald Trump in Beijing to begin two days of critical talks on a host of thorny issues, from trade to tech. China is a close ally of Iran, but it’s also one of the United States’ most important trade partners, which makes diplomacy vital to the American economy. More than a dozen executives from technology and financial businesses also joined Trump, including Tesla’s Elon Musk and Apple’s Tim Cook.
