Alberta premier pitches energy corridor as test of Canadian unity

This week, Danielle Smith announced that her government is investing $14 million into the early planning of an energy corridor through British Columbia to the Pacific. She called the move an olive branch to Prime Minister Mark Carney and the federal government, expressing hope that the project will be included on the Prime Minister’s list of major initiatives.  Danielle believes that building an oil pipeline to Canada’s West Coast will be a test of Canadian unity.
