The latest technology, gadgets and groundbreaking automotive vehicles at the Consumer Electronics show

The Consumer Electronics Show is one of the world’s largest technology trade shows and is underway in Las Vegas. It’s the place to see the latest technology, gadgets and groundbreaking automotive vehicles, online and in-person. Joining us now with a preview of what’s in the store for the future of mobility and transportation is Automotive Journalist Petrina Gentile.

Flying car from SkyDrive

SkyDrive is a Tokyo-based aero tech startup company that debuted an ultra-light and compact flying vehicle that requires no runway.

It is like a large drone, and their goals are to include more than one person in the cockpit as an air taxi for the World Expo 2025 in Osaka.

Carcopter S Eleven

This is another flying car from French company MACA. It is a car and a helicopter that uses racecar technology.

It focuses on speed, safety and sustainability. The company plans to test fly it on an actual racetrack by the end of next year at the Paris Airshow with delivery in 2023.

INDI ONE

This is the world’s first electric vehicle with a built-in high-end computer and Virtual Reality (VR) capabilities. It allows the car to turn into a mobile gaming center. You can also livestream videos, shoot, edit and upload content to the cloud using the vehicle.

Chevrolet Silverado EV

This will be unveiled Jan 5 by Mary Barra, CEO of General Motors (GM) at noon ET. It is an electric truck entering the wars with Tesla. Ford F150 Lightning and Rivian.

Chrysler Airflow Concept

Stallantis will unveil the first all-electric Chrysler Jan. 5.
