A 15-year-old girl is facing multiple charges, including possession of a firearm, following a series of break-ins throughout the Halton, Peel and York regions this month.

Investigators in those regions launched “Project Haze” after seven Oakville homes near Upper Middle Rd. and Eighth Line were broken into overnight between July 1 and 11. Similar incidents happened in Peel and York regions within that time period.

Police say several vehicles were stolen, along with cash and other valuables.

Officers arrested the suspect last Thursday after she was seen driving a stolen vehicle in Scarborough.

The Mississauga teen has been charged with eight separate offences, including seven counts of break and enter, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and unauthorized possession of a firearm.

She was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
