‘Sirens For Life’ blood donor event kicks off

First Published:

Firefighters, paramedics and police shared their experiences about how much it helped in their personal lives.

The national event has first responders competing to see which group donates the most blood between June 27th and August 5th.

The event isn’t only geared to first responders. Canadian Blood Services says only 4% of Canadians donate and that number needs to increase as we enter what paramedics call the “summer trauma season”.

If you want to take part in the competition you can reach canadian blood services at 1-888-2-DONATE 1-838-236-6283.
