OPP Const. Ed Sanchuk said in a video on Twitter that a good Samaritan stopped and attempted life-saving measures before contacting police.

“We’re trying to put the pisces of the puzzle back together to determine exactly what happened here,” Sanchuk said.

The OPP West Region Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement Team continue to investigate and ask anyone in the area at the time with dash cam footage to submit it for review.

Police say Charlotteville Rd. 10 between Highway 3 and Charlotteville East Quarter Line Rd. was closed for over six hours while crews investigated the circumstances surrounding the collision.
