Prisoner mistakenly released from Milton jail: Halton Police

Halton Regional Police say a prisoner was mistakenly released from the Maplehurst Correctional Complex in Milton.

Amritpal Singh Aujla, 28, was last seen leaving the facility on foot on Monday.

Police were notified of the mistake around 11 p.m.

He was wearing a black track suit with a large Tommy Hilfiger symbol printed in the middle of the chest. He was carrying a black backpack.

Anyone that sees Aujla is asked to call police.
