“Poltergeist” being filmed in Hamilton

First Published:

Filming is about to get under way for the re-make of the classic horror movie “Poltergeist,” and it’s happening right here in Hamilton.

Crews were setting up the scene today on Upper Paradise. They brought in additional fencing and extra trees to get the main house ready for filming. Neighbours have agreed to let their grass grow out for the movie, and have been sworn to secrecy.

Production is set to start on September 23rd, and will last about two-and-a-half weeks. It will star Sam Rockwell and Jared Harris.

The original horror flick was released in 1982 and was produced and co-written by Steven Spielberg.
