Police seek suspect after Milton head-on crash injures woman

Police are searching for a suspect accused of colliding head-on with another vehicle and injuring the driver in Milton last week.

Halton police say the victim was driving southbound on Guelph Line when she was struck head-on by a vehicle that was travelling in the opposite direction and crossed over into her lane.

Officers say the crash caused extensive damage to the victim’s vehicle and emergency crews were called to treat her injuries. They also say that a person stopped to help the victim but left before the police arrived.

Investigators describe the suspect driver as a man who was wearing dark sunglasses. They say he did not stop after the crash and was last seen driving northbound on Guelph Line.

Halton police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the accident, have dash-cam footage or information about the suspect to contact them at 905-825-4777 ext. 7450.

Investigators would also like to speak to the person who tried to help the victim after the crash.
