Police arrest 4 people after search warrant executed at Norfolk County home

A search warrant carried out at a residence in Norfolk County resulted in the arrest of four separate people after police discovered a significant amount of illicit drugs in the home.

The Haldimand/Norfolk Community Street Crime Unit was joined by OPP Canine Services as well as members of the Emergency Response Team to execute the search warrant at the Concession 5, Woodhouse address, located just outside of Simcoe.

During the search, police seized a quantity of illicit drugs, Canadian cash, and stolen property.

“Our Community Street Crimes Unit has been very effective with proactive illicit drug investigations,” Norfolk County OPP Inspector Jodi Kays said. “This is yet another example that highlights how the police and the community continue to work in partnership to resolve crime.”

Four people were taken into custody without incident and are facing charges.

Ria T. Lane, 27, of Norfolk County is charged with the following offences:

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking fentanyl
  • Possession property obtained by crime over $5,000
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000
  • Possession of a prohibited device or ammunition

Jean Pierre Auclair, 39, of Norfolk County is charged with the following offences:

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking fentanyl
  • Possession property obtained by crime over $5,000
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000
  • Possession of a prohibited device or ammunition
  • Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order
  • Three counts of failure to comply with release order

Christopher Walpole, 42, of Niagara Falls is charged with the following offences:

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking fentanyl
  • Possession property obtained by crime over $5,000

Tracey Lou Lane, 54, of Norfolk County is charged with the following offences:

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking fentanyl
  • Possession property obtained by crime over $5,000

All accused individuals are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice located in Simcoe at a later date.

Police are continuing to investigate and anticipate further arrests surrounding these investigations.
