About Shelly
Shelly was born and raised in Hamilton and has an extensive theatre and broadcasting background. She was a former Ms. Hamilton in the Ms. World Canada Pageant winning the talent competition many moons ago.
Early on, Shelly ventured off to Hollywood to pursue a film and television career, and once she returned home to Hamilton, she landed on local radio. She spent thirteen years at Oldies 1150 CKOC, 102.9 K-Lite FM and 820 CHAM as an on-air host, community reporter and producer before joining the CHCH family in 2012. She is currently a weather presenter and reporter for the Evening News.
Some of her other gigs include two years as the in-game announcer for the Toronto Blue Jays and Hamilton Bulldogs. She was a cast member of international Children’s Theatre Company’s Theatre Beyond Words, a drama teacher at the Hamilton Conservatory For The Arts, reporter for Plugged In, an announcer at 92.9 FM and a proud member of ACTRA and EQUITY. Shelly is a proud mom, which she says is her biggest accomplishment of all time.
