Al Sweeney

Al grew up in western Canada and began his career at a radio station in northern Manitoba as an announcer and news reporter, and as part of the regular broadcasts of the Flin Flon Bombers’ “Hockey Night in Flin Flon.” He went on to work as a reporter, producer, writer and editor for the broadcast news radio service of The Canadian Press, CTV National News, CBC Radio and Television, and CHCH. Al’s career was spent in southern Ontario, along with the west coast in Vancouver and Victoria and the east coast in Newfoundland and Labrador.

While working, Al also graduated from the University of Waterloo and York University. Al considers his greatest accomplishment to be raising four sons.
