OPP: One dead, one in critical condition following crash on Hwy. 403/Linc

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) tweeted a photo of a fatal crash that happened in the eastbound lanes of Highway 403 near the Lincoln Alexander Parkway in Hamilton.

The passenger of the vehicle, a man, has been pronounced dead and the driver of the vehicle is in critical condition following the crash.

Police say the driver lost control and note that the roads were wet, but have not determined the cause yet. Police do say no alcohol was involved.

The eastbound lanes of Highway 403 were closed at Lincoln Alexander Parkway as police investigated and crews repaired the guard rail. It has since reopened.
