Ontario reports 3,128 COVID-19 cases, 51 deaths

Ontario is reporting 3,128 cases of COVID-19 and 51 deaths.

Numbers released Tuesday come as the province completed 35,152 tests.

The province has administered a total of 50,030 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine as of 8 p.m. Monday night. Of those, 7,607 were administered on Monday.

So far, 117 total vaccinations have been completed.

Ontario is reporting 3,128 cases of #COVID19 and nearly 35,200 tests completed. Locally, there are 778 new cases in Toronto, 614 in Peel, 213 in York Region, 172 in Durham, 151 in Middlesex-London and 151 in Hamilton.

• 123 deaths — up four from Monday

Hamilton

• 6,788 total cases — up 209 from Monday
• 4,822 resolved cases
• 1,714 active cases
• 190 deaths — up 11 from Monday

Niagara

• 4,486 total cases — up 88 from Monday
• 3,359 resolved cases
• 985 active cases
• 142 deaths
• 92 in hospital

Brant

• 1,009 total cases — up 26 from Monday
• 830 resolved cases
• 173 active cases
• 6 deaths
• 5 in hospital

Haldimand-Norfolk

• 1,007 total cases — up 20 from Monday
• 817 resolved cases
• 150 active cases
• 35 deaths

There are 1,347 patients hospitalized with COVID-19 in the province. There are 352 people in intensive care, with 245 of them on ventilators.

The death toll is now 4,730 people.

Another 2,015 cases have been marked as resolved.
