Ontario reported 1,670 cases of COVID-19 and 49 deaths on Wednesday.

This is the lowest daily cases number the province has seen since November and comes as 55,191 tests were completed.

The reported positivity rate, which takes into account the date tests were performed, is four per cent.

Another 2,725 cases have been marked as resolved.

A total of 305,330 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered. Of those, 9,513 were administered on Tuesday by 8 p.m.

A total of 96,459 vaccination have been completed.

Ontario is reporting 1,670 cases of #COVID19 and nearly 55,200 tests completed. Locally, there are 450 new cases in Toronto, 342 in Peel, 171 in York Region and 128 in Niagara.

As of 8:00 p.m. yesterday, 305,330 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered.

There are 1,382 patients hospitalized in Ontario. There are 377 people in ICU with 291 of them on ventilators.

The death toll is now 5,958 people, with 58.5 per cent of those deaths reported in residents of long-term care.
