One dead following overnight shooting in Lincoln

One man was found dead inside a home on Fracchioni Drive in Lincoln last night.

Niagara Regional Police responded to the area following a suspicious person complaint just after 12:00 a.m. When they arrived residents of the neighbourhood made them aware of the sound of gunshots coming from one of the houses. That is when they searched the home and found the deceased man.

Police say this was a “targeted incident”.

There will be a heavy police presence in that area for the remainder of the day while the Homicide Unit investigates.

There has been no other information given at this time.
