Oakville Trafalgar High School lifts lockdown after bomb threat

First Published:

Oakville Trafalgar High School lifts a lockdown Wednesday morning after students and teachers were told to not attend due to the school receiving a threatening email.

Halton Regional Police first tweeted about the threat shortly after 8 a.m. this morning, saying the high school has been placed in lockdown.

Police lifted the lockdown at 10 a.m., saying the school has been deemed safe by officers.

The school had sent out an internal email early in the morning telling students to not come to class.

The lockdown was caused by an alarming email sent to Oakville Trafalgar High School outlining the possibility of a bomb threat.

Halton police can confirm that the scene has been cleared and deemed safe.

Police presence can be expected in the area as the investigation into this threat continues.
