Niagara College makes top ten list for research funding in Canada

Niagara College is among in the top ten colleges in Canada for research funding.

That’s according to a new report from Research Infosource Inc., which places the college in the number eight spot.

This is the sixth year in the row the college made the list.

“We are proud of our continued recognition among Canada’s top 10 for research funding, as research and innovation have been a growing focus for our College,” said Niagara College president Sean Kennedy.

“These extraordinary times have served to highlight the important role of innovation in our College and our community.”

The report looked at research funding numbers for 2019, when the college attracted $7.8 million.

Niagara College placed number two in the category of completed research projects, with a total of 262.

The report also found the college increased its paid student researched from 83 to 105.
