Hamilton police are investigating after a man was killed in a fatal motorcycle crash on the Mountain on Saturday.

Officers were called to Upper James Street and Fennell Avenue around noon after learning a motorcycle and SUV collided.

Witnesses say bystanders and medics tried to revive the young man but the police confirm the man’s injuries were fatal.

The major intersection has been closed and traffic is being rerouted around the area.
