As a man and his elderly mother were lying on the road severely injured after being hit by a motorcycle yesterday, other motorists drove right through the scene and people passing by are said to have taken items belonging to the victims.

The tragic incident that killed a 69-year-old man, and the frustration of Hamilton police in dealing with an investigation that was tampered by the public.
