Toyota recalling 880,000 vehicles

Toyota is recalling more than 880,000 vehicles in Canada and the U.S., because a repair announced last year may not have solved a safety problem.

The company says RAV 4 SUVs from model years between 2006 and 2011, and Lexus HS 250-H sedans from 2010 are involved in the recall.

If rear suspension nuts aren’t tightened properly after a wheel alignment, the rear lower suspension arm can rust and separate from the vehicle. This can increase the risk of a crash.

At least nine crashes and three injuries related to the problem have been reported.
