Top Valentine’s Day beauty products for 2022
Beauty expert and editor Dave Lackie was back with us on Morning Live to share his favourite Valentine’s Day gifts.
Carolina Herrera Good Girl and Bad Boy fragrances, $120 at sephora.ca
Lackie says these are two of the sexiest fragrances on the market right now. Good Girl is an alluring amber-floral scent that comes in a sky-high stiletto bottle. It blends richly fragrant coco and coffee beans with sweet, alluring jasmine, orange blossom, tuberose and vanilla.
The men’s version, Bad Boy, is an amber-spicy scent that blends notes of black pepper, bergamot, sage, cedar, tonka bean and amberwood. The bottle is shaped like a lightening bolt.
Pupa Milano Love Bird & Squirrel Makeup Palettes, $27 to $45 at pupamilano.ca
Lackie says Pupa Milano was one of the first beauty brands to design art makeup palettes. He says these Love Bird eye and lip palettes will appeal to beauty enthusiasts of all ages. There are also squirrel palettes as well.
Estee Lauder Lunar New Year edition Advanced Night Repair Serums, $248 at esteelauder.ca
It’s Lunar New Year today and the limited edition packaging works equally well for Valentines as it is all in bold red. Lackie says this is the collector “Lucky Red” ANR bottle. The award-winning serum helps skin look smoother, less lined, younger, more radiant and even toned. It uses Chronolux Power Signal Technology to work with your skin’s repair cycles at night.
Nuxe Very Rose Edition skincare, $24 to $46 at shoppersdrugmart.ca
Paris-based natural skincare brand Nuxe was a pioneer in natural-origin beauty. Created by Aliza Jabès in 1990, the brand has launched a rose floral water collection of cleansers, toning mist and creamy makeup removers. Lackie says it is perfect to treat yourself for Valentine’s Day.
Crest Whitening Emulsions Gift Pack, $39.99
Lackie recommends the new Crest Whitening Emulsions – ultra-gentle with no sensitivity, whiter teeth in 14 days. You just brush on and in seconds it absorbs.
Clarins Lip Comfort Oil, $28 at shoppersdrugmart.ca
Lackie says French beauty brand Clarins creates some of the best lip oils in the world. A trio of rich oils adds moisture and hydration while intense pigment adds a wash of colour on lips. He says the red and pink shades are particularly good.
