Top toy trends of 2021
Looking for the best gifts to get your kids that are actually in stock? Well look no further, as lifestyle and family blogger Angie Campanelli shared the top toy trends of 2021.
Campanelli says the biggest trend is whatever is in stock. She is encouraging parents to get creative and think outside the box when buying gifts this holiday season.
Here are some of Campanelli’s recommendations:
Gravitrax
The starter set comes with everything you need to use your imagination to build tracks to set gravity spheres rolling. The STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) system teaches kids about gravity, magnetism and kinetic energy in a fun way.
“If you have anyone on your list who really likes puzzles, games and activities that the whole family can get involved with, I would highly recommend checking out Gravitrax sets,” said Campanelli. “Our family has played this for countless hours and it’s really fun for the mind.”
Akedo Ultimate Warriors
“There’s a YouTube sensation going on with these little figurines,” said Campanelli. “They battle it out in a strike split motion and the goal is to get the opponent to split in half.”
This toy is brand new to Canada and is arcade inspired. It is reminiscent of Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em Robots.
Playmobil Adventures of Ayuma
Campanelli says Playmobil is always reinventing their themes. She recommends a brand new theme from them called “Adventures of Ayuma”.
There is a YouTube show connected to this theme that Campanelli says has great themes such as friendship, courage and community.
‘It is very interactive,” said Campanelli. “There’s a projector on the top that the kids can take into their room to light up a starry sky.”
There are also glow-in-the-dark features for playing in the dark. Campanelli says this toy is perfect for people who are trying to find a doll house, but can’t find one. The Adventures of Ayuma sets are in stock.
Magic Mixies Magic Cauldron
Campanelli says this toy is like the Tickle Me Elmo toy this year because parents are scrambling to find it.
Kids add water along with various other special ingredients into the cauldron and out comes your own Magic Mixie Pet. The pet makes over 50 sounds, lights up and has moods.
“It’s kind of the gift that keeps on giving and there’s also a reset key,” said Campanelli. “It retails for $99.99…also it steams, real steam comes out of it.”
