Top beauty trends for Spring 2022

As we are about to spring forward this weekend, fashion and beauty expert Carly Ostroff joined us with some of her favourite trends for this upcoming Spring season.

Olay Limited Edition Retinol Skin Moisturizer

Retinol helps rejuvenate your skin by stimulating natural collagen production. It also speeds up skin cell turnover to reveal newer, brighter skin.

Ostroff says Olay is on a mission to increase the amount of women working in science, technology, engineering and math fields. To do so, they are working with Actua and with the support of Walmart, Olay will be donating $50,000 to help empower women nation-wide and in programs that help build confidence and skills in STEM.

On top of this, Olay will be donating $15 to the sale of every Retinol Skin Moisturizers directly to Actua’s National Girls Program.

Marshall’s

Ostroff says she went on a shopping spree in Marchall’s and found some great items for spring. She first came across colourful bags with matching sunglasses. She then found funky sneakers, a bucket hat and a watch. All of these items together can create a unique look for spring.

Euphoria-inspired Makeup

Euphoria is a show on HBO that is notable for the characters wearing unique and beautiful makeup. Ostroff says to get the look, it does not take a ton of products.

She recommends Sephora’s Pumped-up Liquid Eyeshadows that come in vibrant shades with glitter. She also recommends Sephora’s Big by Definition Mascara. It instantly coats every lash, helps to define and lift.

Aveeno Plant Protein Collection

Ostroff says this product is designed strengthen, lengthen and smooth hair from frizz. It is vegan and scalp-soothing formulas. She says you will notice your hair will feel softer and more manageable with each use.
