Teen tan ban in California

The California tan so many teens long for will have to wait.

California’s Governor has signed a law banning children under 18 from using tanning beds even if they have a parent’s permission.

The law makes California the first state to ban minors from indoor tanning.

The ban was backed by medical professionals, because skin damage caused by tanning beds can lead to melanoma.

Health Canada currently advises children under 16 not to use tanning equipment.
