St. Catharines’ students take home first place at Niagara Regional Police FilmFest

A trafficking PSA from three students at Governor Simcoe Secondary School in St. Catharines took home first place at the Niagara Regional Police‘s 2026 FilmFest. Deputy Chief Mario Lagrotteria, and filmmakers Callum Green, Colton Orr, and Mariia Avdieieva talked about the initiative which encourages meaningful conversations among youth while promoting awareness, empathy, and community engagement.
