See The Keys as we head down to Florida to visit Big Pine & The Lower Keys

Emily Vukovic continued her tour of The Florida Keys, and today she was in Big Pine and The Lower Keys.
For more than 60 years, the region of Big Pine Key and Lower Keys from the west end of Seven Mile Bridge, Little Duck Key to Stock Island. The focus on the environment has earned the region the title of the Natural Keys. The Lower Keys are home to a National Marine Sanctuary and a state park.
The National Key Deer Refuge, which was established in 1957, protects the endangered Key deer. Today the refuge encompasses over 9,000 acres of prime deer territory.
In the waters off the Keys, divers can explore the coral and marine life of Lou Key Reef, which is home to an underwater music festival in July.
Camping is also very popular in the Lower Keys.
Emily’s adventure continued with Get Up and Go Kayaking, where she learned about the importance of the mangrove with tour guide Belinda Woodrum.
