Ron Joyce makes Forbes’ list

In its annual roster of billionaires, Forbes Magazine has added Ron Joyce to its list of people worth more than a billion dollars.

Dubbed “Canada’s doughnut king,” the man who co-founded the Tim Hortons coffee and doughnut chain with the late hockey great, Tim Horton, is rated by Forbes as having a worth of $1.2 billion. That’s twice the $600 million that Joyce got for the company when he sold it to Wendy’s in 1995. Forbes also says there are more billionaires in Moscow than in any other city in the world, while the world’s richest man, telecommunications tycoon, Carlos Slim from Mexico is worth $73 billion.
