Emily Vukovic visited the Parkinson’s Wellness Innovation Centre where exercise and movement play a big role in helping to learn to live with Parkinson’s.

Parkinson’s is a disease of the brain where there is a lack of dopamine that makes you’re body move slower. It not only affects the way you move, but also affects your speech, facial expressions and you may get depression and anxiety. But at the wellness centre, they use exercise to get the dopamine going.

If you are interested in the centre and the activities and treatments that are involved, there is an open house this Saturday, April 15th from 12pm – 4pm. They are located at 150 Chatham St. Unit 7 in Hamilton.
