New help in fighting lung cancer
Scientists from McMaster University have found a new way to help beat lung cancer.
They’ve discovered that a diabetes drug, Metformin, slows the growth of lung cancer cells, making them easier to kill with radiation. Joining us is Dr Theodoros Tsakiridis, an assistant professor of oncology at McMaster and the study’s author.
