HAPPENING NOW:

National BRA day all about options

This is National Breast Reconstruction Awareness Day, also known as BRA Day.

It’s a movement organized by cancer support groups as well as oncology specialists to educate women about reconstructive options. In Ontario alone, 7,000 women will be newly diagnosed with breast cancer this year. 95 percent of them will need either a lumpectomy or full mastectomy. But as Maria Hayes explains – even if you lost a breast to cancer years ago, reconstruction today is still possible.
