Meanwhile — a recent study finds two out of three medical students don’t know how often they should wash their hands.

German researchers surveyed 85 medical students, asking them if hands should be washed in seven different scenarios.

Only about a third knew all five times when it was recommended to wash or sanitize their hands.

Those were before contact with a patient, before preparing an I-V, after removing gloves, after touching a patient’s bed, and after touching vomit.
