Home prices still heading up

A study by Re/Max shows just how hot the real estate market has been over the past decade.

It says that since 2000, the average value of a Canadian home doubled.

Rising from just under $164,000 to $339,000 in 2010.

Re/Max says billions spent in new construction, renovation and renewal have pushed up the average residential price in the country’s major centres.
