Helping survivors of sex trafficking ‘Reclaim’ their name and financial identity

The survivors of sex trafficking often face long standing effects that may surprise you. Traffickers often use the names and identities of their victims to open credit accounts which they use to pay for anything from hotels to ads for escorts.
Carly Kalish from Victim Services Toronto joined us to explain the ‘Reclaim’ project. ‘Reclaim’ is a program that helps advocate on behalf of the survivors to financial institutions and creditors to remove all the debt that has been accumulated due to the sex trafficking.
