Health care costs continue to soar
Health-care costs in Canada are expected to hit $200 billion this year.
That’s double the amount spent just 10 years ago.
A report by the Canadian Institute for Health Information says an average of $5,800 will be spent on each Canadian for health-care this year.
The report says a key driver of the rising costs is what the system pays doctors, which has been rising faster than inflation.
