Food prices set to soar

Be prepared to pay more for what you eat.

The president of the World Bank says prices have already hit dangerous levels — and the cost is pushing 44-million people around the world into extreme poverty — with some of them spending “half” of their income on food.
Adam Atkinson spoke with local buyers Tuesday to see how much more we’ll be paying here in Southern Ontario — and explains why this is happening now.
