Experimental drug for Autism
An experimental drug to treat the severe symptoms of “Fragile X syndrome” may also be effective for autism patients.
Researchers studied 56 patients with “Fragile X” ranging in age from 6 to 39 years old.
The drug was able to improve their ability to interact socially, and improved many problematic social behaviors associated with “Fragile X”.
Researchers are hopeful it may also someday treat social and behavior problems associated with autism.
