Celebrating 25 years of Morning Live

Twenty-five years ago, we launched the very first episode of CHCH Morning Live in Hamilton.

At the helm were Cathy Wegner and Bob cowan as hosts, and Nicola Jones and Lesley Stewart keeping viewers up to date on weather and traffic. Lori De Angelis was out in the community as the on-location remote reporter, while Dean Stoltz handled the overnight beat. And behind the lens, Luke Gudgin brought us the live eye shots that helped define the show’s early days.

So much has changed over the past quarter century. Faces have come and gone, roles have evolved, and the show has grown along with our community. Annette Hamm joined Bob back in 2005, and Rick Zamperin came on board just last year- each chapter adding something new to the story.

Cal Millar, the president of Channel Zero and Romen Podzyhun, the chairman and CEO sat down with Rick and Annette to reflect on the past 25 years and to look ahead to what’s next.
