Celebrate National Ice Cream Day at 100% Canadian, 100% family owned Kawartha Dairy

National Ice Cream Day is this Saturday, and Louie Butko got in on the celebrations a little early by sampling some ice cream at Kawartha Dairy in Burlington.
Kawartha Dairy started in Bobcaygeon back in 1937. Jack and Ila Crowe created the family business that pride themselves on serving ice cream made with 100% Canadian milk, as well as other milk products. While the production facility is still in Bobcaygeon, there are 12 retail locations across Ontario, and you can purchase Kawartha Dairy products in a number of grocery stores as well.
The store in Burlington recently opened, to bring a taste of cottage country to the city, and serves up all the flavours, which can also be turned into milkshakes. So grab a scoop and celebrate National Ice Cream Day, because ‘I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream’.
