A cross-Canada poll found a disturbing lack of knowledge surrounding the thyroid.
Responses to the question “What is a thyroid?” ranged from a fast food place in Japan, to an Italian sports car from the 50s. Maria Hayes reports the results have led to a serious campaign to educate the public.
