Bulldogs chat with Logan Morrison

The Hamilton Bulldog’s leading scorer Logan Morrison joined us this morning for his debut on Bulldogs chat.

The Bulldogs snagged a win against the Sudbury Wolves Saturday on home ice.

Morrison is starting the season with four goals and ten assists and when it comes to what feels better, he says scoring.

“I`m probably more of a passer, but there is nothing like scoring a nice goal,“ said Morrison. “There is nothing like a good assist and setting up your teammate and seeing them all fired up to score, but at the same time, putting one in yourself… it’s a different kind of excitement.“

Morrison grew up in Guelph and played in the Guelph Minor Hockey since he was six-years-old until his minor midget year when he got drafted to Hamilton.

“It’s really cool to play so close to home,“ said Morrison. “When we have days off I get to go home and see my family…I couldn’t be more thankful to be that close, some of the other guys live in the U.S. and Europe.“

Morrison says he is a fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs and that his favourite player is currently Austin Matthews. Growing up, he says his favourite player was Sidney Crosby.

Commenting on the Edmonton Oiler‘s centre and captain Conner McDavid’s goal Friday night, Morrison said people don’t realize how nice the goal is.

“I don’t think people realize how insane that goal is,“ said Morrison. “To see the one on four and take them all on and get through them so effortlessly, its crazy.“

Who is the best stick handler on the Bulldogs?

“We got a couple good ones, George Diaco is pretty good, Avery Hayes is pretty good,” said Morrison. “We got a couple guys with some slick hands…mine aren’t bad.”

The Hamilton Bulldogs will play at home on Friday Nov. 12 at 7 p.m. against the Peterborough Petes. Then, on Saturday Nov. 13 at 4 p.m. the Bulldogs will take on the Ottawa 67’s.
