HAPPENING NOW:

Representatives from more than 30 countries are taking part in the 6th World Breast Cancer Conference in Hamilton.
The Juravinski Cancer Centre hosted the delegates Thursday. They were given a tour of the world-class facility and shown presentations about different treatment programs. The conference provides an exchange of ideas, finding ways for under-privileged countries to take a lead in treating breast cancer.
Amy is the fifth in a line of Zambian women who’ve attended the conference. Three of her predecessors have lost their own battles with breast cancer, but not before laying a foundation for breast cancer programs in their home country.
