HAPPENING NOW:

Emily Vukovic visited four of the around 110 businesses that are part of the Ancaster BIA, which is one of the most vibrant parts of the city.
The first place was Ancaster Memorial Arts Centre at 357 Wilson St East. This brand new space opened last year and is home to theatre, live concerts and film. As well, it is the new location for the Farmers’ Market which runs every Wednesday from 3-7pm.
LAB Luxury Resale & The LAB Edit at 442 Wilson St E is another business that is part of the BIA. LAB is a Canadian online boutique that resells gently used and new designers pieces.
If you are a bike enthusiast then you will want to visit Giant Ancaster at 365 Wilson Street East. Originally known as Ancaster Cycle which opened in 1990, it has now changed to Giant and only focuses on the one brand. Giant bikes and accessories are great for anyone who wants to bike, whether you are just starting out or want to ride through the winter months. They offer everything from mountain bikes to fat bikes and helmets.
Emily’s last stop was at Rastin’s Pharmacy at 323 Wilson St. E. 80 of the businesses that are part of the BIA are services and this one offers clinical services, as well as treats 13 minor ailments and more. Whether you need medical advice or a prescription filled, the people at Rastin’s are there to help.
