6 gifts that give back to charity this holiday season

Looking for a way to make a positive difference this holiday season?
Lifestyle expert Tania Motuza said buying Christmas gifts from brands that give back is a great way to do so.
Here are six brands that are giving back this holiday season:
David’s Tea
This Canadian tea retailer is a great option for ethically-produced gifts this Christmas.
“They recently launched their ‘Impact Fund,’ which will fund a global project that will benefit the communities where they source their tea and the environment over the long-term,” said Motuza in an interview on Morning Live.
This year, David’s Tea has three advent calendars, including the 24 Days Of Tea Advent Calendar, 24 Days Of Tea Advent Caffeine-Free Calendar and 24 Days of Matcha Advent Calendar.
Tom’s of Maine
If you’re looking for stocking-stuffer ideas, Tom’s of Maine has you covered.
This brand creates natural personal care products, including toothpaste, toothbrushes and deodorants, among others.
“Tom’s of Maine has deepened its commitment to sustainability through its ‘Natural Care Recycling Program’ in partnership with TerraCycle, which allows you to send in your hard-to-recycle personal care packaging so it can be made into new and useful objects,” Motuza said.
WonderBra
Besides giving support, WonderBra is giving back this holiday season with bras made from recycled materials.
Their new WonderBra Eco-Pure collection is made with recycled nylon yarn and recycled polymers.
“Who would have thought that a plastic bottle could one day become a bra?” Motuza said.
Fern and Petal
Fern and Petal is a Canadian company that creates a variety of products, including essential oils, sprays and diffusers.
“All of the products are made with natural or high-quality ingredients and they’re handmade or bottled in Vancouver,” Motuza said.
With every purchase, Fern and Petal donates $1 to plant a tree in Canada.
Clearly
Does someone on your shopping list wear eyeglasses?
Clearly is a great eyeglasses brand to buy from because they are on a mission to eliminate poor vision by 2050 through spreading awareness about the importance of eye health.
They provide a free pair of prescription glasses to children under the age of 10 with their Free Glasses for Kids program.
Another initiative is the Buy One, Give One project that donates a pair of glasses to someone in need with each pair purchased.
The eyeglasses brand also has a Reincarnate line where each frame is made from recycled plastic bottles.
Klorane
This personal care product brand uses plant-based ingredients and botanicals.
“There’s an anti-fatigue roll-on that hydrates, a water-gel cream that plumps and eye patches that smooth and decongest the eyes,” Motuza said.
With every purchase, a portion of its sales goes to support activities of the Klorane Botanical Foundation and helps fund school gardens in the U.S. through the Budding Botanist Grant.
