HAPPENING NOW:

Canadians can now put a different brand of plastic in their wallets.
The Bank of Canada has unveiled its new $5 and $10 polymer notes. They complete the series of new bills issued by the bank, beginning with the $100 bill in November of 2011.
The new $10 features Canada’s quest to complete a transcontinental railway, but the new $5 has something a little more up to date. Bank of Canada governor Mark Carney contacted commander Chris Hadfield aboard the International Space Station to unveil the new bill. It will feature Canada’s space technology, and new frontiers in robotics.
