When Kyle Hoult was first suffering with his leukemia, he was approached by The Make A Wish Foundation. At the age of six years old, his first wish was: no child should go hungry. Throughout his illness Kyle would go visit food banks and donate money and food.

When he passed, his family decided to continue it in his memory. Kyle’s mom, Lorraine Hoult joined us to tell us more about the 21st Annual Kyle Hoult Memorial Food Drive: For Neighbour to Neighbour.

Hoult says the pandemic has created a larger demand for the Neighbour-to-Neighbour Food Bank and the services they provide. She is encouraging individuals to donate online at www.n2ncentre.com. You can also drop off food and monetary donations by visitng N2N Centre at 28 Athens Street, Hamilton.

Hoult estimates over the 21 years, the Kyle Hoult Memorial Food Drive: For Neighbour to Neighbour has raised well over $30,000 and raised over 40,000 pounds of food.

She says the food drives prior to Kyle’s passing would raise upwards of $10,000 alone.
